We're teachers, it’s in our veins, but when we teach creativity, that’s when our hearts really starts racing.
Our teaching careers have seen it all; film shooting & developing in the darkroom, digital shooting & processing in the computer, phone shooting & editing inside the phone. As long as there’s a lens on one end and a way of capturing an image at the other, then we're gung-ho to learn it and to teach it.
We’ve been lucky to be able to mentor numerous individual photographers over the years and have taught thousands in a room for both Canon & Nikon (my record is 243 in one session). Whether it’s 1 or 10 or 100 or 1000, for me, there is no better feeling than helping people up their photography game. We teach each of our courses so that learners can quickly spread the knowledge they pick up every week into other areas of image taking.
Participants can use these core principles in ANY imaging device, be it the simplest of camera phones or the most elaborate high-end cameras. Photography, at its core, is about shutters, apertures, and ISO. No matter what, it is HOW you bring these together for each shot that matters.
